Avondrust farm is located in the serene Great Karoo, on the foothills of the mesmerising Swartberg Mountain Range, with a mere 50km drive to the historic town of Prince Albert and a stone throw away from Meiringspoort, a scenic drive that will keep you sharing your experience with family and friends alike, for years to come.

Facilities

With the following activities on site, we have tried to ensure that your stay will be as memorable and comfortable as possible, for both young and old.

Pools, braai areas, tennis court, bass fishing, hiking, veld drives, road cycling and mountain biking.

Guests are free to walk on the farm, go hiking in the hills, cycle the farm roads and try your hand at bass fishing in any one of the numerous dams. There is a network of farm roads to explore and for the more adventurous, ask about the incredible self-drive 20km track up to the mountain dam (covered in snow during the cold winter months) surrounded by spectacular fynbos flora, abundant insect life and illusive game. 

Klaarstroom and surrounds are Malaria free.

All the guest houses do not experience any Loadshedding.

The main house consists of three over-sized bedrooms (two balcony rooms with incredible views) as well as a double bedroom with disability access and facilities. Separated from the main guest house is the family suite boasting two bedrooms (both ensuite). The master bedroom features a kitchenette for preparation of light meals or a snack as well as a private patio and braai facilities.

The communal farmhouse kitchen and spacious undercover braai / barbecue area, is fully equipped and available to all guests.

Ebeneser Cottage

Careful attention was paid to maintaining the old world charm of this typical Karoo-styled home. Set in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountain range, this getaway gem is perfect for a small family or a couple of friends. Sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility so synonymous with the Karoo. The tastefully finished cottage offers two spacious bedrooms (one double en-suite and one twin), large wooden deck with amazing views, fully equipped open-plan kitchen (with scullery), dining room, charming lounge and an outdoor braai facility, overlooking the majestic Swartberg Mountain Range, Avondrust farm and the spectacular Karoo landscape. Môreson Guest House

The family friendly Môreson Guest House, which has recently undergone a major revamp, is finally available to guests and their little ones. Fun, friendly and family orientated with loads of space for kids to explore.

The house is divided into two separate living spaces. The Main House area offers a large farm-style kitchen with scullery, main bedroom en-suite as well as a twin bedroom with separate bathroom. Perfect entertainer’s patio for family occassions or special friend-gatherings, with magnificent garden and farm views. R1 500.00 per night for the Main House.

The cottage side of the house boasts an open-plan cottage-styled kitchen, dining area and lounge with main bedroom,  twin second bedroom and sharing a family bathroom. The cottage has a private braai / barbecue patio with seating for four and overlooks the garden and Karoo koppies. R1 500.00 per night for Cottage.

The pool facilities are set in a picturesque tiered garden and offers a large braai / barbecue boma, outside shower and bathroom facilities, as well as spacious lounging areas.

Perfect for moms, pops and tots. Pick a side or take both. Able to accommodate eight guests in total.

The pool facilities, gardens and surrounds are communal and can be enjoyed by all guests alike.
